UCEED Entrance Exam

The Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay for admission to the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programs. Eligibility Criteria for UCEED

A. Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have completed Class 12 or equivalent in any stream (Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities).
• Students appearing for their Class 12 final exams can also apply.

B. Age Limit

• General/EWS/OBC-NCL Category: Candidates should be born on or after October 1, 2005.
• SC/ST/PwD Category: Relaxation of 5 years (born on or after October 1, 2000).

C. Number of Attempts

• A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times in consecutive years.

4. UCEED Exam Pattern

The UCEED exam consists of two parts:

Part A – Computer-Based Test (CBT)
• Duration: 2 Hours 30 Minutes
• Total Marks: 240
• Sections:
o Numerical Answer Type (NAT) – No choices, candidates enter a numerical answer.
o Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) – Single correct answer.
o Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) – One or more correct answers.

Part B – Drawing Test
• Duration: 30 Minutes
• Mode: Offline (Pen and Paper)
• Total Marks: 60
• Task: Drawing and design-related problems to assess creativity and visual communication skills.
